David Brandon formed the company way back in 1961 from an office above his Father’s confectioners shop in Swinging London. Mr. Brandon’s passion and eye for quality rare postage stamps ensured that the business grew rapidly and in 1975 this was transferred to a superb retail position in the Strand, London, which, in those days, was a ‘Mecca’ for philatelists. Mr. Brandon sold this Strand shop in 1987 and since then, the business has continued to grow and expand.
2012 saw the inception of our cash loans facility. We are pleased to report that more clients have taken advantage of this unique service and we expect this division of our business to continue to expand as more clients become aware of this opportunity. Please contact us for details.
2017 was a challenging year with various political issues like Brexit and as a result the first half of the year was quieter than usual for trading. However, there was a very significant sudden increase in trade for the last few months of the year which helped to make the year a highly successful one. We were also offered privately several fine items and collections which we purchased and have now been sold intact to our clients, or we have kept for sale at a later date.
