Welcome to the history shop! I've been collecting coins and other assorted antiques for over 35 years. My ambition has always been to work in history - to study historical events, preserve their memory by specializing in their artifacts, and promote interest in and awareness of history. To these ends I opened this online shop. My specific areas of interest are Israel, Europe and wartime periods from the 19th Century to the present day - since the age of the photograph; I also enjoy economic-history, old technological objects, architecture and literature. As a history enthusiast and collector myself, I deal with many areas of interest to me with an especial emphasis on researching materials in order to give them (or return to them) their names and identities. Everything is interesting if you look at it closely enough - if you pay a little attention to it. One of my goals in opening this shop is also to promote Israeli memorabilia to the collecting and researching community. Few online dealers carry Israeli/Jewish memorabilia, and the area is little-promoted on the internet. While many collectors and dealers, like myself, delve into history and heritage of other countries, there is a whole world of worthwhile historical and collectable memorabilia in Jewish-Israeli history, and I hope to promote further interest in this field here as well. In visiting the various corners of the site you will find traces of my personal interests: as such, when you have dealings with my shop you will encounter not just a simple dealer of artifacts but a keen and enthusiastic hobbyist as well.
