1882 (19 Oct) red band cover addressed from Russian Post Office in Urga, Mongolia to Pekin, China. Franked with 7k (horizontally laid paper), tied by "Urga" double oval departure date-stamp (Month above Day), with other markings and red chops.
Scarce date-stamp Type 3b (Tchilingirian & Stephen).
According to Tchilingirian & Stephen the earliest date recorded for this type of date-stamp is 19.XI.1882. This cover has an even earlier date - 19.X.1882, so it should be the earliest recorded date for now.
