1926. A registered letter is addressed to the ship 'COMRADE', A registered letter was sent on 12.11.1926 from Leningrad to Rosario (Argentina) (10.12.). Rarity Bark "Comrade" (1892-1943, until 1923 - "Lauriston") - a four-masted barque, before the Second World War the largest sailing training ship of the Soviet Union (after the war this was the barque "Sedov") with a displacement of 2133 (2145) tons ( net). In 1925, while sailing to England, the bark got into a storm and underwent major repairs at a shipyard in Hamburg. Departing from the Swedish port of Lisekil to the Argentine port of Rosario with a cargo of diabase, the bark got into a severe winter storm, in which it lost all sails, gear and received damage to the hull. From the Norwegian port of Vardø, where the bark took shelter from bad weather, the icebreaker Georgy Sedov took him to Murmansk in tow.
