1950 (May 2) Overseas Chinese Remittance & Letter Office envelope sent from Amoy to Rangoon, Burma, endorsed on front “Hong Kong currency $50”, franked on reverse 1949 Mao Zedong issue, San Yick print, $100 deep lilac and $2,000 emerald green, and 1949 Shanghai Surcharge on Dr. SYS Gold Yuan issue, Shanghai Dah Tung Flat Plate print, $1,000 on $50 Prussian blue (red), tied by three strikes of AMOY 2.5.50 cds, also “Hing Yuan Letter Office” oval chop in violet alongside, with some light creases.
