1903 (22 Nov) Red band cover from Urga to Peking via Troitskosavsk, bearing on the reverse 1889 issue 7 kop. cancelled with the Urga Type 4 datestamp in Violet. Violet Urga datestamps are very rare. On the reverse: datestamps of Troitskosavsk (25 November) and Peking (6 December).
This is one of the earliest letters carried on the Eastern Chinese Railway, completed in October 1903. The railway passed through Troitskosavsk, Manchouli, Harbin, Mukden, Tientsin to Peking.
