A record of flight history
From 23.7. to 26.9.1926, Deutsche Luft Hansa made its first long-distance reconnaissance flight via Siberia to China. Siberia to China. Since there was no meteorological advice for the route, a meteorological center was set up in Irkutsk for the flight. Dr. Seilkopf, who had been seconded by the German Naval Observatory in Hamburg. This letter from Dr Seilkopf to Joachim von Schröder, authorized signatory of Deutsche Luft Hansa, is indirect evidence of the "first German world flight", of which no airmail exists.

Ein Beleg zur Fluggeschichte
Vom 23.7. bis 26.9.1926 führte die Deutsche Luft Hansa ihren ersten Erkundungsfernflug via Sibirien nach China durch. Da keine Wetterberatung für die Flugstrecke bestand, wurde in Irkutsk eine meteorologische Zeritrale für den Flug eingerichtet. Leiter wurde Dr. Seilkopf, der von der Deutschen Seewarte Hamburg dafür abgestellt war. Vorliegei:Jer Brief von Dr. Seilkopf an Joachim von Schröder, Prokurist der Detschen Luft Hansa, ist ein indirekter Beleg für den „ersten deutschen Weltflug“, von dem keine Flugpost existiert.
