1941 German Occupation Luxemburg Official Cover with Scott Nos. NB1-NB6, cancelled in Luxemburg
Lot 1942
German Dienstpost cover with franked Scott Nos. NB1-NB6, cancelled in Luxemburg, 12 June 1941. The special cancellation publicizes the “liberation” of Luxemburg.
This cover is backstainped Hamburg, 16 June 1941. Inasmuch as the city of Luxemburg is only about 350 air miles from Hamburg, this was not particularly fast mail service even in wartime.
