A philatelically prepared, but postally used, registered cover franked with multiple copies of Sc 528 commemorating the War Effort Day of the Sturmabteilung, and a pair of Sc 513. The latter stamps are engraved and believed to be from a booklet pane.
Mailed from Schonebeck (Elbe) 1 on 4 October 1942 to Berlin 0112.
Schonebeck on the Elbe River is just south of Magdeburg in northern Germany. It was a manufacturing town of approximately 20,000 inhabitants in 1942.
