SPECIAL EQUIPMENT FOR THE DAK ASSOCIATIONS
According to literature, the African regiment, consisting of former foreign legionnaires, was to be equipped with pack animals and camels.
Of course, this nonsensical instruction was rescinded. The original pictures in postcard format show German and Italian soldiers in the port of Tripoli or Benghazi on posed souvenir photos.

Nach Literaturangaben sollte das aus ehemaligen Fremdenlegionaren bestehende
Afrika-Regiment mit Tragetieren und Kamelen ausgerustet werden.
Selbstverstandlich wurde diese unsinnige Anweisung wieder aufgehoben.
Die originalen Bilder im Postkartenformat zeigen deutsche und italienische Soldaten
im Hafen von Tripolis oder Bengasi auf gestellten Erinnerungsfotos.
